Out in the Morning Dew

For the 2009 Festival of 1-Act plays, director Mary Jones put together Ratae’s entry of “Out in the Morning Dew”. This was an original play written by local author Arthur Aldrich.

At the Leicestershire and Rutland Festival of 1 Act Plays, the production gained 3 prizes:-

• The L & R Shield - awarded to author Arthur Aldrich for Best Original Play
• The Harry Bladon Shield - awarded to Mary Jones for Best Director
• The Sidney Atkins Trophy - awarded to the production as overall Winner of the festival

Malcolm Wardle and Adam Jones were also nominated for consideration for the Best Actor award.

This success gained the production entry to the Quarter Final of the All England Theatre Festival, held at Burton-upon-Trent. Here the production was placed 3rd and awarded the Central Division Trophy.
